Tutorial -> What's covered?
Compuvision's PFEP Database system has been implemented at a number of customer sites. Many core concepts remain the same, but every PFEP implementation is different because every customer has different needs. That's why we don't just sell a prepackaged PFEP program - it's easier and more cost-effective for us to build a custom PFEP database for each client than it would be to create an unwieldy large, one-size-fits-all, system that would then need as much or more customer time to be customized for their needs. (i.e. Deciding not to use the Supplier fields, deciding to store the manager's phone number in field User3, etc.) The goal here is to cover the core concepts and reoccurring needs.
How complete is this tutorial?
Not very. As I'm sure that you have figured out by now, I, Steven Kovitz, am not a great writer. New pages to the tutorial chain are inspired by questions that come up in conversations, phone calls and eMail messages, as well as by looking at the website's analytics and seeing where people are going and where they are getting stuck. New pages are actually added to the website as my time and writing skills permit.
When are you going to explain ______?
I'd be happy to give it a try as soon as you call me at (586) ASK-PFEP [(586) 275-7337] or eMail me at Steven (at) PFEP.info or even fill out the Ask a Question form on the Ask a Question page, listed at the bottom of the menu on the left-hand side of every page. I'd mention the "Call Me" button to your right and the Forums, but that might start to seem desperate.
Enter YOUR Name and Phone Number here and Google will call your phone and then connect the call to me:
Warning: Objects in the tutorial are more complicated than they seem.
I'm happy to explain as much as I can here, for free, and I know that many potential customers of mine will feel empowered enough to start writing a PFEP system themselves, without me. I sincerely believe that you'd be better off hiring a professional to do this for you, but I am also aware of the fact that this is something that most customers need to try to do it themselves before they really understand how an outside consultant will actually save them money.
