Everything Has To Be Somewhere...
Do you have a Place For Every Part?
In the most robust material flow systems, your Parts are stored in your Warehouse. They might then get moved to a Marketplace area. Parts then move into your Factory, on a specific Assembly Line, at a specific WorkCenter. Within the WorkCenter, there may be multiple Points-of-Use (such as different sides of a moving Assembly Line). Smaller Parts arrive in standardized, reusable Containers that are stored on standardized Racks at the Point-of-Use. Larger Parts may arrive in larger Containers or Carts and end up at specific spots within the Point-of-Use. (Possibly a designated spot on the Factory floor or a Lift Table within the WorkCenter.)
